On the Top is a reality television series shot by Elia Saikaly, that follows a team of Arab mountain climbers from the desert to the peak of Mt. Everest.
It features the first woman from Saudi Arabia, the first man from Palestine and the first Qatari man to stand on top of the world. Elia shot the six high-altitude episodes with the help of his camera assistant and friend Panang Kaji Sherpa. They worked hand in hand with producer-director Adam Sobel. On the Top won a 2014 CINE Golden Eagle Award, which honours and champions the creators of exceptional media content. Congratulations to everyone involved!
