Authentic footage from Mount Everest is rare. Camera crews cannot simply fly in and film it.

Every clip in my archive was captured on the mountain itself. It comes from many seasons of climbing and filming, from basecamp all the way to the summit.

The Everest IMAX Pilot (2024). Select shots from the archive are available in 8K.

That archive is now available for licensing at licensing.eliasaikaly.com. It holds nearly 500 clips across 18 curated collections. You will find time-lapses, aerials, climbing sequences, the Khumbu Icefall, the Western Cwm and life at basecamp. Most of the archive is in 4K and 5K. Select shots are available in 8K.

What is in the archive

The Everest collection alone holds more than 200 clips. They range from sweeping panoramas with Lhotse and Nuptse to the summit plume at sunrise.

Beyond Everest, there is much more. You will find Ama Dablam, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, the Everest basecamp trek and Kathmandu. In addition, aerial collections span the Himalaya and the deserts of the Middle East. Browse everything on the collections page.

How licensing works

Licensing is simple. First, search by mountain, keyword or media type. Then preview any clip and license it directly through checkout. Every clip is tagged by peak, style and resolution.

Working on a larger project? If you need research help or want footage that is not listed, get in touch and I will help you find the right shots.
